Our Florida Trip

It has been almost 3 years since we left sunny Orlando, Florida to plant our roots in Kentucky and this past week was our first time back for a much needed visit to our "Florida Family". A friend of mine ask me what was my favorite part of our trip and my reply was that I got to do everything we wanted to do...visit friends and relax. It was wonderful! We stayed with our good friends, Mike & Brooke Maroth and their boys, Nolan and Tate, and enjoyed being back in their home so much...Thank you for letting us stay. Here is a quick overview of our visit.

• Thursday- Kate's 1st trip on an airplane...she did great but was a monkey going back and forth and up and down on our 3 seats. We arrived in Orlando around 10ish and Mike was there to pick us up to head to their house.


• Friday- "A day to Relax" we took Friday and just got unpacked and caught up with Brooke and Mike. We got to have lunch in downtown Winter Garden (our side of town when we lived in FL) and our good friend Tim came over that night for a visit and a fishing trip with the guys.


• Saturday: Our good friends and neighbors, Scott and Jane Reuter with their 2 little ones, came up from S. Florida to see us. We had lunch together and spent some time at their house in our old neighborhood. We had not meet their 2 little ones yet and they had not met Kate, so it was a great time to catch up! We left their house and I dropped Dave off at his old boss'(Mike) house and I headed to my old boss' (Sherry) house for a visit and then went back to Mike's house for dinner and a evening of catching up.


• Sunday: BUSY day! We went to our old church for Sunday school and service, went out to lunch for a burger at 5 guys, got the kids home for a nap, girls (Brooke, my friend Christy and me) went shopping at the outlets, guys went out fishing, got the kids in bed and then the four of us went out for a nice adult dinner....thank you Mrs. Maroth for babysitting for us!


• Monday- went to MGM and saw our good friend Jules for a quick visit and then ate lunch and rode the Toy Story ride...it was a good time, but realized that Kate is just too young for it all at this age, so we decided to head home and relax the rest of the night and get packed up.


• Sunday: Said good bye to the boys as they headed off to school and met up with friends from Campus Crusade (Judy & Christy) for breakfast before our flight. Our flight home was ok...Kate was sooo tired and slept the majority of the flight home

What a GREAT trip! I loved it and miss our Florida Family so much!
