My parents and sister came up for the week of Thanksgiving and it was WONDERFUL! We changed up traditions a bit and did a lot of relaxing. It wasn't the same without our sweet Andrew, but we held onto our memories of each Thanksgiving before. This year we decided to enjoy our time together and not spend so much of it in the kitchen...so each of us chose our favorite dish and voted between a ham or a turkey and a ham won...so it was a Thanksgiving dinner with ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, etc.Mom brought us Christmas aprons to make...they turned out too cute. We attempted a gingerbread house...but only got it halfway done. We decorated the house for Christmas and mom made her first gumdrop tree for Kate.
We also introduced Kate to "The Elf on the Shelf" she does not yet really understand it but always wants to love on it.
What a great Thanksgiving...I miss you guys and am counting down for Christmas!
