Our Weekend

This past weekend was WONDERFUL! We started it off by having a low key Friday night. We got Kate down and caught up on all of our DVRed shows from the week...AI, The Soup and Damages. On Saturday we had an appointment for our final family shot that is the three of us. I wanted one more of just us before I look too pregnant...I just wanted it to be focused on us as a family of three...funny story though...

So, I scheduled the appointment on Monday and Kate decided that this was going to be a week of bumps and bruises...she fell twice and managed we hit her forehead in two different places leaving nice black knots on her head. She also got a scratch on her nose and cheek...just our luck right? We on Saturday morning all the swelling had gone down and the bruises did not look all that bad...so off to pictures we went. After waiting for about an hour and Kate playing in the kid's area we were ready to go when they called our name. After about 6 shots, Kate decided to run to the photographer to get the toy in his hand that he was using to make her smile...well on the way back to us she tripped over the back drop and face planted into the wicker chair we were using as a prop...so the tears came along with a scrap or two on her forehead and blood. Needless to say it was a very quick photo session and we just prayed that one of the six pictures turned out...and it did! I need to find a scanner so I can post it, but here is one of Kate's injury.
Back to our weekend. We had our pictures taken and then had a great lunch and ice cream and spent the rest of the day outside playing until church.

Sunday we celebrated our 6 year anniversary! Dave took advantage of the first beautiful weekend and played a much needed round of golf with Johnny while Kate and i headed over to the triplets house for a outdoor play date. Then it was our time to be together. Our friends Brooke and Boomer offered to keep Kate for us so that we could go out for our anniversary...thank you guys so much! For Christmas our friends Johnny and Kat gave us a gift card to a restaurant here in Lexington. It was wonderful! We had a four course dinner and GREAT conversation...after picking Kate up and getting her to bed we watched our wedding video...it is a tradition of ours each year to hear the vows we made to each other and to God. What a wonderful weekend!
