A South Carolina Christmas: We got to go home for a two week visit for the holidays...it was wonderful...however, it took us two days to get home due to the weather...a snow storm. We ended up getting a hotel at our half way mark (that took around five hours to get to...norm takes 2.5) and that was an experience with all of us in one room...it went well and we all were ready to start back down the mountain the next day. Kate kept saying that she "love the Hotel". Our trip included a bake day, Christmas with family, Dave got to golf, I got to go shopping with my sister, a visit to my grandmothers, A triple date with our siblings to dinner and bowling and lots of just down time. Calla had decided she is going to start learning to crawl...she gets up on her hands and knees and rocks and puts her head down like she is going to do a roll...she is going to be crawling before we know it! Kate had to go to the doc there due to some bronchitis problems and a new ear infection...poor baby...but what a good sport! She still enjoyed it all! It was wonderful!
Santa...We Know Him! The girls got to meet Santa at our mom's group Christmas party...Kate LOVED him and just sat and watched him as the kids crawled into his lap...she was amazed.

Kiddos Christmas Party: We gathered the girls together for some Christmas fun. We drew names and handed out Christmas presents...Kate got a doctor's kit...she is so funny with giving all of us check ups...calla had her ears checked today...she is " all bedder". We also decorated Christmas tree ice cream cones....it was messy but lots of fun!
A Kentucky Christmas: Santa came early for us in Kentucky....Kate LOVED her new Kitchen and her quote of the season is "Open It" for all the presents that came in boxes. It was so great to have our own little Christmas morning as our family of four...well five with bailey boy!

Tree Decorating: The girls dressed in their new Christmas pjs...we decorated the tree...it was amazing that Kate knew just what to do...we had alot of lower placed ornaments this year but it was so sweet to see how accomplished she felt. We also introduced her (second year) to the elf on the shelf...she really did not get it this year...maybe next. Calla enjoyed it all but grew so tired with all the excitement and lights.

Dinner Time: Set another plate Calla is joining us at the dinner table. She is doing great with baby food...she is not all that into the greens...but loves all the orange veggies...I ventured out today and gave her a few spoon fulls of applesauce and she started crying when I stopped...she loves to eat her big girl food like big sister...mealtime has become one of my favorite with both girls at the table. A Kate highlight is that she is finally adding veggies back into her food choices...I thought this day would never come! Good job Kate Kate
Our Happy Girls
Thanksgiving: My family ventured up to KY for Thanksgiving this year...we are so blessed that they have made the annual thanksgiving trip to us since we left Greenville. We had a very fun and relaxing one! Gobble Gobble!
Aunt Caroline and her nieces
Grana and Daddy Bo with Calla
We braved the cold weather for the Thanksgiving Parade downtown Lexington.
Grana and Daddy Bo brought Kate a stuffed animal turkey, which she loved! So, when we started eating thanksgiving dinner we told her she had turkey on her plate to eat and she was crushed...the turkey was her friend so instead of eating the slices of turkey on her plate she loved on them (by "hugging" them) and fed the turkey slices the other items on her plate...too funny!
